Throughout scholarship season this year, we are featuring a series spotlighting previous scholarship recipients by sharing the thank you notes they submitted to their respective scholarship committees.
Ryan Hlucny, a graduate of Greenbush, earned two scholarships through NMF: the Fr. Don Braukmann Scholarship and the Keith and Ellen Kapphahn Family Scholarship.
Here is what he submitted:
My name is Ryan Hlucny. I was born and raised near a rural northwest Minnesota town called Greenbush. I would like to offer my deepest gratitude for you choosing me as a recipient of this scholarship. I would also like to say thank you to the donor supplying the funds for this scholarship. As a college student, expenses never cease to amaze me. The cost of being a college student is astonishingly high and it’s a challenge to fund a college education. Every scholarship helps immensely and allows me to focus on my studies rather than where the money will be coming from. For this, I am extremely grateful. To be selected as a recipient of the scholarship amongst all of the applications is a fantastic feeling. I’m fortunate and truly blessed with the funds I’ve received.
Thank you for your generosity,
Ryan Michael Hlucny
