Throughout the scholarship season, we are spotlighting scholarship recipients by sharing the thank you notes they submitted to their respective scholarship committees. The donors who support these funds and the volunteers and committee members who champion these funds are all investing in the future of this region. We thank them for their work in making a sustainable impact of the lives of those who call our community home.
Tessa Durand, who graduated from Stephen-Argyle Central High School, earned the Storm Scholarship.
Here is what she submitted:
I am currently a freshman student at the University of North Dakota studying both Marketing and Communications! I want to thank you for your generosity in donating to this scholarship fund. It is so greatly appreciated and helps lift some of the financial burden students have from college. By doing this, I am more able to focus on my studies, enjoy other activities within the university, and meet new people. I am honored and so appreciative to be selected as one of the recipients of this scholarship and cannot thank the donors enough! I am excited to see what my future holds and what I’ll learn along the way! Thank you again for all your generosity in supporting this scholarship and its recipients, including me!
