November 12, 2024 (Bemidji, MN) – The Bemidji 31 Education Foundation Fund has announced its fall 2024 grant award recipients. The education fund awards annual grants to ISD 31 teachers through a competitive application and review process.
There were 36 grant applications received, with requests totaling over $37,000. More than $14,000 was awarded to 27 applicants for various projects and classrooms throughout Bemidji Area Schools, including:

- Flexible Seating / Gene Dillon Elementary and Bemidji Middle School
- 3D Printer / Horace May Elementary and Gene Dillon Elementary
- Letter Boards / JW Smith Elementary
- iPads / JW Smith Elementary
- Math Curriculum / Bemidji High School
- Art Supplies / Gene Dillon Elementary
- Neurodiversity Inclusive Classroom Supplies / Horace May Elementary
- BHS Choral Library / Bemidji High School
- Books for X-Steam / Gene Dillon Elementary
- Regulation Tools for Students / Bemidji High School and Lincoln Elementary
- Classroom TV / Lincoln Elementary
- Family and Consumer Science Classroom Supplies / Bemidji Middle School
- Recreation Equipment / First City School

“We are committed to supporting educational opportunities for students at Bemidji Area Schools, but need ongoing financial support to continue at this pace,” said Jeff Haack, chair of the Bemidji 31 Education Foundation Fund. “Each year we receive more applications from educators trying to improve their classroom experience. We invite supporters of our schools to donate to the cause.”

In total, the Bemidji 31 Education Foundation Fund has given 87 grant awards for a totaling over $51,000 over the last five grant periods.
