Housing
Having a stable, safe, and affordable place to live creates both a family and community infrastructure. It’s something many people take for granted and unfortunately something that Minnesota struggles to keep up in creating enough supply for the growing demand. That’s why NMF is committed to adding housing capacity in Northwest Minnesota.

Housing Loan Program
NMF has established a partnership with Greater Minnesota Housing Fund (GMHF) to increase the number of multi-family housing units in Northwest Minnesota. To reach this goal, NMF’s gap financing will focus on multi-family housing projects of five units or more, and our portion of the financing will not exceed $400,000.
As a lender, it is never NMF’s intention to fund projects that could otherwise be funded by traditional lenders such as a bank or credit union. NMF does not compete with traditional lenders. Instead, it is our intention that our housing loan dollars complement traditional financing products by playing a gap role with GMHF and/or a bank or credit union.
