July 9, 2024 (Bemidji, MN) – The Bemidji Area Arts Endowment (BAAE), a fund in the family of funds at Northwest Minnesota Foundation, is announcing $27,480 in grants to support the arts in Bemidji and surrounding communities.
Approved grants include:
- Boys & Girls Clubs – Bemidji and Blackduck – Fine Arts Program & Exhibit
- Watermark Art Center – Watermark Art Festival
- Bemidji Symphony Orchestra – Jump! Orchestra Concert
- Watermark Art Center – Featured Author Experience
- Bemidji Community Theatre – Little Mermaid Costumes
- Headwaters Music and Arts – Bemidji Sings Vocal Competition
- Watermark Art Center – Poetry and Story Slams
- Bemidji Early Childhood – Teddy Bear Band
- Clearbrook-Leonard Senior Center – Live Music Series Concerts
- Bemidji Senior Center – Senior Art Class
- Beltrami County Historical Society – Christmas History Mystery
- Clear Waters Life Center – Piano Lab and Holiday Showcase
- Watermark Art Center – Art in Nature Paint and Hike Series
- Bemidji Downtown Alliance – Blue Booth Art
- Headwaters Music and Arts – Building Improvements, grant funding provided through the Frederick Marshall Fund
- Headwaters Music and Arts – Staff Training, grant funding provided through the Northstar Fund
- Headwaters Music and Arts – Scholarships, grant funding provided through the John Rabel Memorial Music Fund

BAAE has set the date for its annual fundraiser, to be held October 20. This year’s Big Band fundraiser will be held at the Bemidji Town and Country Club. Tickets will be available online at Northwest Minnesota Foundation beginning August 20.
