Racial Equity Accountability Project team captures personal stories of homelessness to aid in developing action plan to address racial disparities in homeless response system

The Northwest Minnesota Racial Equity Accountability Project team is charged with examining and questioning the homeless response system with the goal of advancing racial equity and reducing racial disparities.

A months-long effort to establish an emergency youth shelter in Red Lake culminated with the opening of the shelter last week. The shelter serves up to 12 youth and young adults, open 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
