January 27, 2023 (Bemidji, MN) – Citizens State Bank of Roseau has been a longtime supporter of Northwest Minnesota Foundation, donating to many Roseau County component funds since 1996. Most recently, Citizens State Bank of Roseau has entrusted NMF to house their long-standing scholarship fund.
The Citizens State Bank of Roseau Scholarship Fund is dedicated to qualified students from Roseau and Badger who are pursuing post-secondary education at a college, university, or other accredited non-profit technical or vocational education/training institution or program.
“We have been serving our community since 1905, so it makes sense to partner with our local community foundation and continue to keep these scholarship dollars in our community,” said Kyle Horntvedt, Chief Financial Officer at Citizens State Bank of Roseau. “We’re excited to continue supporting our future youth as they seek higher education.”
Applications are completed online through the NMF website www.nwmf.org. Click on “Scholarships” on the home page. A completed application includes providing transcripts and two letters of recommendation as well as a short essay regarding community involvement, volunteer activities, extra-curricular activities and work experience. Deadline to apply for the scholarship is April 15.
