April 24, 2025 (Bemidji, MN) – The application period for the Initiators Fellowship opens on May 1. This two-year fellowship provides a suite of supports for emerging entrepreneurs whose business ideas include socially beneficial outcomes.
The Initiators Fellowship provides rural leaders in Greater Minnesota the opportunity to use their entrepreneurial spirit to create change while building their business and personal leadership capacity. The program provides a $30,000 annual stipend and wrap-around training, business coaching, and mentorship.
The next cohort of the fellowship will run from 2026-2027. The Northwest Minnesota Foundation is one of four program partners for the fellowship, and each of the last two cohorts have had two Fellows from Northwest Minnesota.
