In honor of National Volunteer Week (April 17-23), we are shining the light on a few of our dedicated fund advisors who volunteer their time to advance philanthropy throughout our region. We appreciate their commitment to building better lives in their local community.
Today, we are featuring Mary Stauffenecker, a fund adviser for the Greenbush Area Community Fund
We here at NMF know that it is volunteers like Mary who make it happen. By contributing their energy and expertise, volunteers make a sustainable impact on the lives of those who call our community home.
Thank you, Mary, for all you do to lead and support our region in meaningful ways.
We asked Mary to reflect a bit on why she got involved with the Greenbush Area Community Fund and what she feels its impact is on the community:
“The Greenbush Area Community Fund was created in 2007 by an anonymous donor who grew up in our small community whom wanted to give back. That kind of enthusiasm for our small town is contagious! When I was invited to be a part of the advisory committee I was excited for the opportunity to help continue that legacy. Working with other committee members who have the same mission of enhancing the quality of both living and visiting our community is an added bonus.”
