In honor of National Volunteer Week (April 17-23), we are shining the light on a few of our dedicated fund advisors who volunteer their time to advance philanthropy throughout our region. We appreciate their commitment to building better lives in their local community.
Today, we are featuring Stacey Hron, a fund adviser for the Thief River Falls Area Community Fund
We here at NMF know that it is volunteers like Stacey who make it happen. By contributing their energy and expertise, volunteers make a sustainable impact on the lives of those who call our community home.
Thank you, Stacey, for all you do to lead and support our region in meaningful ways.
We asked Stacey to reflect a bit on why she got involved with the Thief River Falls Area Community Fund and what she feels its impact is on the community.
I was initially asked to join by some people I had worked with previously. I had never heard of the TRF Area Community Fund and they were asking for some technology help to create a webpage, Facebook, etc., to increase awareness in the TRF area. The reason I decided to join the TRFACF was I raised my three boys in Thief River Falls and have lived in the community for over 20 years. The funds stay local to TRF so it really is a great way to give back to the community and support multiple different projects.
The pictures and thank you letters say it all. It is so rewarding to see how we helped or what our grant meant to an organization and the people in our community! The community is starting to know who the TRF Area Community Fund is.
