First recipient of Lois Ludwig Memorial Scholarship is substitute teaching in Ms. Ludwig’s same district.

Citizens State Bank of Roseau has been a longtime supporter of Northwest Minnesota Foundation, donating to many Roseau County component funds since 1996.

The Northwest Minnesota Foundation will begin accepting applications to its scholarship funds as of Feb. 1. Last year, scholarships housed at NMF issued 240 awards, totaling $288,000.

A celebration is planned for tomorrow, January 20th, in Bemidji to celebrate the installation of new signage at the Headwaters Music & Arts.

In February, the Northwest Minnesota Foundation was awarded $224,000 through Minnesota Department of Employment and Economic Development.

All it took was an email written in Ojibwe.
