The Northwest Minnesota Foundation is hosting a workshop series for small business owners to help them prepare for the process of selling or transitioning their business.
The first session will be from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesday, May 6. Experts in business succession and transition, mergers and acquisitions, family business, and shared ownership will discuss the topic, Navigating Business Succession and Transition.
“This series is offered as part of the Northwest Minnesota Foundation’s dedication to supporting small business owners and entrepreneurs throughout the region,” said Sarah Linda, senior program manager for the Community Revitalization program at NMF.
The day is structured to highlight the experiences of small business owners, but professionals who support businesses are also welcome to attend, such as bankers and economic development specialists.
The workshop is free of charge and includes lunch, if attending in-person. There are three ways to attend the workshop: in-person at NMF in downtown Bemidji, in-person at the East Grand Forks Chamber of Commerce office (for a Zoom satellite experience), and from the comfort of your own desk via Zoom. Registration is required.
