The Northwest Minnesota Foundation is seeking information on potential capital projects in the Northwest Minnesota region that would directly enable work, education, and health monitoring.
This information will inform the Northwest Minnesota Foundation (NMF) as it prepares an application to the Minnesota Department of Education (MDE) with the expectation of funding for community facilities projects throughout Northwest Minnesota.
MDE will provide approximately $50 million to seven regional organizations throughout the state to fund capital projects that directly enable work, education, and health monitoring. NMF is one of the six Minnesota Initiative Foundations, which are included in the seven organizations to be allocated the funding. NMF will serve as the fiscal agent for the funding that is allocated to the Northwest Minnesota region and will sub-grant the funds to regional partners that have eligible projects.
NMF is asking all regional partners that might have an eligible project planned to fill out an online form at https://form.jotform.com/232274344947058 to aid in developing the application to MDE. Doing so does not guarantee funding for the specific project, however; once funding is determined for NMF, NMF will launch a grant application process to review and rank eligible projects in the region.
