The Rick Hetteen Memorial Scholarship, a scholarship fund hosted by the Northwest Minnesota Foundation (NMF), is seeking qualified applicants to apply for the 2024 scholarship round.
The annual scholarship is dedicated to qualified students in Roseau County who are pursuing a post-secondary education at a technical or trade school majoring in a construction trade.
The scholarship was established by the family of Rick Hetteen to honor his memory and assist students in Roseau County. Rick attended a two-year trade school, and it was advantageous to him throughout his long career in the construction business.
Eligibility requirements
- The student must be graduating or have graduated from a high school in Roseau County.
- The student must be pursuing post-secondary education at a technical or trade school
- Preference will go to a student majoring in a construction trade.
- Previous recipients may re-apply for a second-year scholarship. Scholarship renewals are not guaranteed.
Application process
Applications are completed online through the NMF website www.nwmf.org. Click on “Scholarships” on the home page. Deadline to apply for the scholarship is April 15.
