Throughout the scholarship season, we are spotlighting scholarship recipients by sharing the thank you notes they submitted to their respective scholarship committees.
The donors who support these funds and the volunteers and committee members who champion these funds are all investing in the future of this region. We thank them for their work in making a sustainable impact of the lives of those who call our community home.
Theresa Gustafson, who graduated from Bemidji High School, earned the Ray F. and John F. Breen Scholarship and the John and Iva Lee Graupman Family Scholarship.
Here is what she submitted:
I am deeply appreciative of your support and all the good that you do.
I am currently double majoring in Agri business and Ranch management at North Dakota State College of Science (NDSCS) and hope to take over our family farm as the 4th generation on the land my great grandparents homesteaded in 1929. I am determined to graduate without student loans, and worked throughout my high school career to save money for tuition. The financial assistance you have provided me has helped me tremendously to achieve my goals. Because of your generosity, I can follow my dream and graduate with my Associate’s degree in 2024.
Thank you again for your very important financial assistance.
