The addition of a bench enabling those living with physical disabilities to more comfortably and safety enjoy the sport of shooting at the Warroad Lost River Sportsmen Complex proved so popular that additional assistive stands are now planned.
“I really enjoy the addition of the new accessible shooting bench at the Warroad Lost River Sportsmen Complex! It’s great to have a place to go that is wheelchair accessible where I can enjoy a sport I love,” reported one user of the new assistive stand.
The cost of the assistive shooting stand was covered by a $1,200 grant from the Warroad Area Community Fund. Steve Fisher, writing the final grant report on the funding received by the Warroad Lost River Sportsmen Complex, reported that they spent the money more efficiently than planned. As such, the funding will cover the cost of at least one more bench planned for the complex.
