This week, in recognizing National Volunteer Week, we are highlighting members of our Fund Advisor Council.

Tasked with examining the racial disparities in the homelessness response system, the Racial Equity Accountability Project team has marked its second year, holding a second set of talking circles to capture the lived experiences of homelessness in Northwest Minnesota as it continues its work.

Seth Newby, who graduated from Bemidji High School, earned the Bun and Alvera Fortier Scholarship.

The Northwest Minnesota Foundation has actively engaged in public policy with intent the last few years. Although it is not a major part of the Foundation’s overall activity, those advocacy efforts recently paid off in a big way.
