Throughout the scholarship season, we are spotlighting scholarship recipients by sharing the thank you notes they submitted to their respective scholarship committees. The donors who support these funds and the volunteers and committee members who champion these funds are all investing in the future of this region. We thank them for their work in making a sustainable impact of the lives of those who call our community home.
Hallie Harmoning, a 2022 graduate of Lafayette High School in Red Lake Falls, is a recurring recipient of the Lois Ludwig Memorial Scholarship.
Here is what she submitted:
I attend college at Moorhead Community and Technical College. Last year I was accepted into the dental hygiene program … I am really enjoying it and can tell that I love teeth.
With the help of this scholarship I was able to purchase an ergonomic set of loupes that will help my neck and back in the long run. I am so excited to continue using them. When I was selected for this scholarship I was extremely happy and knew school would be less stressful.
Thank You,
Hallie Harmoning
