Throughout the scholarship season, we are spotlighting scholarship recipients by sharing the thank you notes they submitted to their respective scholarship committees. The donors who support these funds and the volunteers and committee members who champion these funds are all investing in the future of this region. We thank them for their work in making a sustainable impact of the lives of those who call our community home.
Ashtin Fredrickson, a graduate of Lafayette High School, earned the Kris Fontaine Memorial Scholarship.
Here is what he submitted:
My name is Ashtin Fredrickson, and I am a 2024 Lafayette High School Graduate and recipient of the Kris Fontaine Memorial Scholarship. I am currently a freshman studying psychology at Minnesota State University, Mankato. I have successfully completed my first semester and am enrolled in my second semester and eager to resume classes.
I would like to sincerely thank you for your generosity in providing this opportunity. Receiving this scholarship is an incredible honor, and I deeply appreciate your support.
This scholarship will help me pay for my tuition and housing and assist with other expenses this next semester.
Being selected for this scholarship has made me feel grateful and has motivated me to be successful in all my classes. It is truly inspiring to know that there are individuals like you who believe in students and invest in their future.
Thank you once again for your kindness and support. I will strive to make the most of this opportunity.
Sincerely,
Ashtin Fredrickson
