Throughout the scholarship season, we are spotlighting scholarship recipients by sharing the thank you notes they submitted to their respective scholarship committees. The donors who support these funds and the volunteers and committee members who champion these funds are all investing in the future of this region. We thank them for their work in making a sustainable impact of the lives of those who call our community home.
Katrina Warkentin, who graduated from Warroad High School, earned the Warroad High School General Scholarship.
Here is what she submitted:
Thank you so much for this scholarship! Your generosity has offered me the opportunity to achieve my passion in literature writing. I could not be where I am today if it were not for you. Thank you. This scholarship will benefit me by assisting the funds needed for classes, housing, and further educational recourses through Bethel University! Being selected for this scholarship made me feel elated with gratitude. I now have the chance to broaden my knowledge in and out of my chosen field, and that is because of the kindness behind this scholarship! I could not be happier to receive this, and I will never forget all of the people who helped me get to where I need to be.
Again, thank you so much!
Katrina Warkentin
