Throughout the scholarship season, we are spotlighting scholarship recipients by sharing the thank you notes they submitted to their respective scholarship committees. The donors who support these funds and the volunteers and committee members who champion these funds are all investing in the future of this region. We thank them for their work in making a sustainable impact of the lives of those who call our community home.
Seyoung Moses Son, who graduated from Bemidji High School, earned the Lumberjack General Scholarship, the George Pelawa – Calgary Flames Scholarship, and the Betty L. Murray Scholarship.
Here is what he submitted:
My name is Seyoung Moses Son from Bemidji High School in Bemidji, Minnesota. Thank you so much for giving me support in my undergraduate studies. I truly appreciate it. To be perfectly honest, I still don’t feel like I have anything figured out when it comes to my future, but being able to look back and realize that there are people who believe in my potential motivates me to never give up. I don’t want to let anyone down! Again, thank you so much for your generosity and I hope you have a great 2025!
Best regards,
Seyoung Son
