Northwest SBDC is ‘leading the way’!

KAXE’s Katie Carter recently interviewed Margaret Krueger, an NMF Homelessness program officer, and landlord Kyle Baril about our Landlord Risk Mitigation Fund. This was a fantastic feature that did a great job of highlighting the goals and benefits of this program.

The Lumberjack Foundation Fund is one of our ~400 community and component funds. This fund supports activities at Bemidji Middle School and at Bemidji High School.

An NMF grantee, the United Way of Bemidji Area, held a Car Care Clinic in October 2021 through its Wheels to Work: Fueling Opportunities to Thrive program.

Her Legacy Continues: Fund honoring Ruth Edevold, our founding executive director, is reinvested in NMF general endowment

The Northwest Minnesota Foundation has launched a new brand strategy to more effectively communicate its role in building better lives throughout Northwest Minnesota.

“For 10 years, from 2008 to 2018, I was a board member and former president and treasurer of Restore House, a “half-way house” as the term used to be called for helping to free people from their addictions and integrate them back into society without relapse.”

Dawn Ganje is NMF’s Director for Community Philanthropy and volunteers with the Northwest Private Industry Council Board, a private, nonprofit organization that provides administration and oversight for federal and state employment and training services to residents and businesses across Northwest Minnesota.

Kari Cooper is a Program Officer who volunteers with the Northwoods Battered Women’s Shelter.
