NMF Board visits the Lake of the Woods Distilling Company!
The Northwest Minnesota Foundation Board of Directors met in-person last Friday, May 19th, at the Lake of the Woods Distilling Company in Baudette.

Here at the Northwest Minnesota Foundation, we’re proud to say that not only do we have dedicated staff committed to their work in building better lives throughout Northwest Minnesota, but 90 percent of our staff also give to the NMF Endowment, or one of its component funds.

For July’s Board of Directors meetings, our staff and board traveled to Hallock, where we met at Far North Spirits, toured Revelation Ale Works, and had the chance to visit with local community members.
Beau, our Chief Morale Officer and in-house therapy dog, visited Bemidji State University last Wednesday to offer some stress relief to BSU students prepping for Finals.
The Lumberjack Foundation Fund is one of our ~400 community and component funds. This fund supports activities at Bemidji Middle School and at Bemidji High School.
“For 10 years, from 2008 to 2018, I was a board member and former president and treasurer of Restore House, a “half-way house” as the term used to be called for helping to free people from their addictions and integrate them back into society without relapse.”
Dawn Ganje is NMF’s Director for Community Philanthropy and volunteers with the Northwest Private Industry Council Board, a private, nonprofit organization that provides administration and oversight for federal and state employment and training services to residents and businesses across Northwest Minnesota.
Kari Cooper is a Program Officer who volunteers with the Northwoods Battered Women’s Shelter.
