Throughout the scholarship season, we are spotlighting scholarship recipients by sharing the thank you notes they submitted to their respective scholarship committees. The donors who support these funds and the volunteers and committee members who champion these funds are all investing in the future of this region. We thank them for their work in making a sustainable impact of the lives of those who call our community home.
Clancy Heath, who graduated from Roseau High School, earned the Neen’s Future in Space Scholarship.
Here is what he submitted:
My name is Clancy Heath and I’m honored to be one of the Neen’s Future in Space Scholarship recipients. I’d like to thank you for your generosity in funding the Neen’s Future in Space Scholarship for students in the Northwestern area in Minnesota. Thanks to your donation I’ll be able to fund my learning at the University of Minnesota, Duluth.
After completing my time at the University of Minnesota Duluth, I plan to continue my education at the University of North Dakota to pursue an aerospace degree, as they launched a new aerospace program. Graduating with these degrees will allow me to work with military aircraft and gain more experience as an engineer. My goal as an engineer is to learn and apply my knowledge to new applications and transfer that knowledge to younger students as I’ve also been interested in getting a Ph.D in aerospace sciences.
Thank you for supporting me in reaching my fullest potential!
Sincerely,
Clancy Heath
